Interlinear KJV-NIV Parallel New Testament in Greek and English ReviewThe idea is good--for those who want an interlinear Greek text with a literal translation and two of the most widely used translations, this is it. The interlinear portion, however, is often difficult to read because of the extremely small print (particularly regarding the numbers that indicate word order), and the binding is completely falling apart.
This book is too bulky for easy use. I recently saw an old edition of Marshall's interlinear with just the KJV beside it on the same page, and the book was MUCH more compact. Those who want a KJV-NIV parallel should find another edition, and those who want a Greek interlinear should find that--having them both in the same book, while it may be useful to some, to me seems pointless and results in a product that is unnecessarily difficult to use.
Alfred Marshall has VERY few translator's notes; several more would have been welcome.
