I've read a lot of books on creative ideas for teaching, but Dr. Rick and Shera Melick get to the core of the problem with Bible teaching for adults. They emphasize understanding and teaching to your learners by contextualizing your lesson to include several learning styles and approaches, while remaining grounded in Biblical truth. Later in the book, they offer a model of how to write a lesson plan that can be understood by all types of learners. I used this model, and it was not only doable, but successful! I will continue to refer to this book for tips on teaching adults.
Also, I was surprised to see that this book was offered in kindle edition. I was very pleased with the intuitive nature of this ebook, which I cannot say for some of the other ebooks I've purchased.
