EuroTalk Interactive - Talk Now Learn Assamese ReviewThis product's only advantage is that it is the only one around. The written words often do not match the words being spoken. This may not matter if you can't read Assamese. I can read most of it, which makes using this software a frustrating experience.
If you want to learn some basic words, then this product at least does that, but it is no more than a primer, and a poor one at that. I hope that Routledge or the Teach Yourself series find a market for some of the Indian languages that are spoken by fewer people than Hindi and Bengali, because their lessons -- while occasionally logically questionable -- are far better than this.
For Assamese, your best options are old-fashioned: go there, or find someone who not only speaks it, but has the grammar knowledge necessary to teach.EuroTalk Interactive - Talk Now Learn Assamese Overview
